The social housing project Epic’s Home, designed by Eden Landscape, was honored to receive the Silver Prize at the National Architecture Awards 2022-2023.

The National Architecture Awards 2022-2023 took place on the occasion of the celebration of Vietnamese Architecture Day and the 75th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam Association of Architects (1948-2023). The event attracted 226 participating works from various units across the country. Honored enterprises had to meet stringent criteria, including innovative and modern architectural design ideas, emphasis on cultural and local identity, social and humanistic significance, creativity based on the criteria of Vietnam Green Architecture and global green architecture standards. The awarded works were expected to have a community-oriented nature, contributing positively to shaping architecture.

Epic’s Home is one of the few social housing projects that received comprehensive landscape investment. Despite the relatively small landscape area of the project and a large underground infrastructure system that almost occupies the entire land area, posing challenges for arranging landscape spaces and outdoor facilities. When designing the landscape for the project, Eden Landscape had to meticulously consider each space. In the CT1 area, a large square was designed where residents could engage in recreational activities and relaxation with all necessary amenities. In narrow areas between CT2 and CT3, CT3 and CT4, Eden Landscape designed playgrounds, pathways, relaxation spaces, and social spaces. In the locations of air ventilation pits for basement floors, special focal points named “Orchid” were designed, serving both decorative and shielding functions for the basement air vents.

Through the landscape design of the Epic’s Home social housing project, Eden Landscape aims to convey a message to the community about a high, simple, and harmonious living environment with nature, helping residents find peace in their living area.

The Silver Prize at the National Architecture Awards received by Epic’s Home is a source of pride for all those involved in the project. Eden Landscape hopes that Vietnam will have more social housing projects focused on living spaces for residents, similar to Epic’s Home.
