The Sensory Garden takes inspiration from romantic gardens combined with decorative details of Indochine architecture. Using the sense of aromatic plants, the sounds of water, the terraced levels and the seating chairs under green tree canopy to create a garden full of emotions that stimulate human’s senses.
The outer gate of the garden, with classical patterns and typical yellow color of Indochine architecture, serves as a symbol gate separate between the outside world and the park, establishing a distinct space for the garden. Four gates facing four different directions are four entrance paths to the central plaza. Notably, the garden has an amphitheater-shaped topography towards the center offering different emotional experience when stepping in the park.
A circular pathway around the garden plays as the main walking path through the garden. Along the walkway are resting spots where people can sit under green tree canopies, enjoying fresh and cool space, providing places to rest after walking or jogging.
At the center of the garden is a plaza embraced by numerous surrounding trees, serving as a play area and hosting public activities during holidays such as Children’s Day, Mid-Autumn Festival, etc., in the new urban area. There are three resting pavilions, each expressing a different style. The eco pavilion on the waterlily lake carries an ecological style, where people can read while enjoying the lake view, or gather for conversations. The second resting pavilion, located on a large grassy area with an Indochine style, serves as a place for relaxation after a stroll, sightseeing, or enjoying a cup of coffee. The third resting pavilion is situated near the children’s play area, convenient for parents to sit, work, or rest while keeping an eye on their little ones.
Waterlily is a destination where residents can admire the gentle beauty, with fragrant scents wafting through the air. Sitting in the pavilion, one can immerse themselves in a pure and airy space. The lake is an ideal check-in spot for young people. Across by the lake is the children’s play area, including various physical activities for children of different ages to run, jump, and play freely. The garden has grassy areas for people to gather, play, chitchat, reading corners, sports equipment and well-organized parking spaces.
The proportion of green trees in the garden is relatively large, with a variety of trees arranged in different levels and colors. The vegetation includes colorful leave trees, aromatic flower trees directly impact the sensory experience of people when walking and engaging in activities in the garden.
